Background #

Alfgram’s backstory is largely unknown. Dr. Lee MD mentions him in his show Unbeleevable (episode 3). He explains that Skys tortured people in the Mantra cult. In 2015, Alfgram became the first test subject for his project Kingslayer. After going through the ritual, the man claims to have gained access to mysterious powers.

In 2015, Strassman ends up in a confrontation with Skys after leaving the cult. Skys manipulates Strassman, promising him to stop the Kingslayer experiments and give him the lead in conducting more ethical experiments with gifted children. The Kingslayer experiments continue in the basement, but this causes tension within the cult. Alfgram especially is enraged, and he decides to leave the cult with a few of his disciples. He becomes the founder of ecliptism, which later resurfaces in the DTC.

After Alfgram ends up leaving with his closest disciples in the night, Skys is furious and determined to hunt Alfgram and his disciples down. Eventually Skys tracks them down with disciples of his own and he kills Alfgram. The Book of Eclipse claims he reached enlightenment when he died.

Most of the information about Alfgram and his motivations after this point comes from the Book of Eclipse, where is he portrayed as a saviour who suffered to help others. In the book, he is referred to as First Shadow, the Shepherd of Suffering.

We also see Alfgram in Die4U, where he is in Club Hellhole, waiting for a delivery of special blood. He has “Alfgram” tattooed across his head and a screenshot of this is shown for Alfgram in Unbeleevable (episode 4).
